It's another Barcade shirt, this time a punk rock themed tee, melding four different elements from punk icons... can you name all four (two are obvious)... You can grab one of these at any location or order it online at Barcade.com!
Pictured here is the final design along with the line art and two alternate versions, one without the cross hatching and one with the tag line in the Punk-Man's mouth. Also, I opted to draw the "Barcade" logo by hand rather than try to find the fonts and roughen them to approximate the inspiration. Sometimes doing stuff the old-fashioned way is actually faster than doing it digitally (for me, anyway)!

Secret Country, To Heck with Ole Santa Claus!
If there's anything I love more than doing art for Secret Country, it's doing another Secret Country Christmas single! This year, Kearny's finest has given us a cover of Loretta Lynn's ass-kickin' 1966 anti-carol, "To Heck with Ole Santa Claus!" Go give it a spin (if you can call streaming something online "spinning."

Barcade NO ROWDIES! Tee-Shirt
My latest tee-shirt design for Barcade is one I've been pushing for years! Pinty the Talking Beer makes his merch debut on this NO ROWDIES! tee. The original design featured Pinty's pal, Tenny (the Talking Ten-Ounce Pour), who is the more stern of the duo, but the owners wanted Pinty, so it got redone (sorry, Tenny). They also felt my hand-drawn logo would work better than the official corporate logo on this design. You can get this shirt at any Barcade location or online at their merch store!

Screaming Skull pin
My latest collaboration with Kanibal & Co. in Jersey City, NJ is this new Screaming Skull enamel pin! Order it online here or go to the store and check out an amazing selection of gifts, apparel, jewelry and art by local artists and more. Pictured is the final design along with a few rejected early ideas (the "JC" being nixed because apparently a lot of people associate those initials with something else!

Walking and Rolling to School with Buster the Bus
My friend, the multi-talented Kayt Hester pulls a day gig at the Hudson Transportation Management Association in New Jersey where she works in pedestrian safety for the younglings. She wrote a book for the kids starring the TMA's mascot, Buster the Bus (one of a number of Buster Buses across the land) and asked me to illustrate it. Unfortunately, WALKING AND ROLLING TO SCHOOL WITH BUSTER THE BUS is currently only available to Hudson County school children, but it may be given a wider distribution at some point. Here's a selection of pages from the book along with the poster I did to promote it and a photo of the writer and artist in the wild (or, at a bar!).
