LO-FI TAKES THE STREETS 2026

For my third year doing the artwork for Jersey City's Low-Fidelity bar's LO-FI TAKES THE STREETS festival, I did a vintage sci-fi pulp pastiche (along with a TWILIGHT ZONE tribute and a character from an obscure Harvey Comics superhero comic book, JIGSAW). Plus, I apparently cannot help myself from tossing in a little slice of cheesecake. Sorry not sorry.

Below are the print poster, tee-shirt, Instagram post, the individual characters, and the primary inspiration, the Feb., 1955 issue of GALAXY SCIENCE FICTION.

Lo-Fi Takes The Streets 2025 poster / tee-shirt

My second year doing the artwork for Jersey City's Low Fidelity Bar's terrific music / food festival, Lo-Fi Takes the Streets. The edict this year was to create a retro spy esthetic, which was not hard for me to get excited about. Here are the final poster and tee-shirt along with alternate logos and some prep work.

Because "TACO" can't be the only food-related acronym to describe Dear Orange Leader...

Barcade Los Angeles posters

A few new posters for Barcade LA, one for a Holiday Gift Drive and one for a Women's Pinball League (two versions, the second one was rejected for being too illegible... you be the judge!)

Lo-Fi Takes the Streets 2024

This year's LO-FI TAKES THE STREETS festival in the Jersey City Heights, put on by the Riverview Neighborhood Association and the Low-Fidelity bar in JC.
Below are the final poster, tee-shirt, an alternate (unused) logo, detail on the Walkmanwoman (I just gave her that name right now, so gimme a break), detail on a tribute to the late, beloved JC fixture, Matt Caputo, sketches of Walkmanwoman (she was initially going to be more sci-fi superhero, then I was asked to "punk her up" a little, then ended up striking a balance between the two), the logo art WIP, and detail on the background location in Jersey City.

Barcade Monday Night Multiball Poster

Here's a poster I did for Barcade Los Angeles' bi-weekly pinball tournament, along with the first, rejected version (there was a miscommunication... I thought they wanted it fast, turned out they wanted it hand-drawn!)... at least the logo got to be repurposed.
The characters on the poster are based on figures from the 1972 Williams pinball machine, SWINGER (see sales sheet below).

Jersey City Flippers poster

This has nothing to do with real estate. Here's a poster done for the New Jersey pinball league, the Jersey City Flippers!

Strong / Sweet / Smart

This piece was a commission for a dear friend who puts his young son to bed every night with a reminder to try to be these three things, traits that are inherent in the superheroes whose logos are interpreted (I mean, you can kinda swap some of them and it still works, but this one seemed to make the most sense).

Romel Hits 50 Poster

This poster was done for my friend Romel's 50th Birthday Bash, an event that was sadly sidelined by the Coronavirus shutdown. Ugh. The design of this is (obviously) an homage to the cover of the eponymous first 1977 album by The Clash.

RX for Rex

In 2018, some friends and I organized a benefit for a dear pal battling bladder cancer. The poster is a collaborative effort between myself and fellow bartending cartoonist, Jason Berlet. If you'd like to contribute to Rex's ongoing fight, please go to this GoFundMe page, and thank you!
