Tales of the Zombie logo

This is a hand-drawn reinterpretation of the logo for Marvel Comics' 1970s magazine, Tales of the Zombie. I did this as part of an installment of my comic strip, Prince Street News. To see the full context, click here! Cross-marketing! Or something.

Secret Country, Under the Mistletoe 7"

I've done more artwork for Kearny NJ's Secret Country than any other band, but this latest work might be my favorite I've done for them. "Under the Mistletoe" is their new holiday single for 2020, including a VERY limited edition vinyl pressing. You can listen / buy on Bandcamp or snag the single at the Killing Horse Records' website

Also pictured here is an alternate version of the title lettering.

Justin's Bodega T-Shirt

T-Shirt design done for the producer of the great beer podcast, Steal This Beer, Justin Kennedy, based on (in case you couldn't tell) an old Beastie Boys tee. The looseness of the "Justin's" is intentional, kids.

The Hair Room T-Shirt

The theme for this merch design for Jersey City salon, The Hair Room was "Wizard of OZ meets the 1980s," which of course meant giant metal hair for the Cowardly Lion. You can buy this on a bunch of different products at the Hair Room's Threadless Store

The Ghost of Uncle Joe's 2020

I was excited to be asked to do the artwork for Jersey City's legendary Halloween concert, The Ghost of Uncle Joe's, an annual event in which local bands dress up as and play songs by famous rock bands. I had already finished the advance postcard art when Covid hit and the entire event had to be reworked (even though it's an outside concert). JC's Dancing Tony made the whole thing work as only Dancing Tony could, even though I was unable to make it, darnit.

Pictured here are the banners and logos, including the mascot, Jett. Also shown are two rejected (by me) possible logos during the early part of the design process.

Stewards Animal Free

Pictured are logo and icon variations, plus the final product for Stewards, a new animal-free, vegan fertilizer that is going to be available soon from the good people at Hope Gardens! Initially, we were going to go with a hand-drawn logo, but eventually settled on using one of the (manipulated) fonts from the good people at House Industries

Stay F. Homekins

During the Covd-Quarantine, one of the most soothing balms has been Stay F. Homekins, the pandemic podcast hosted by the hilarious husband and wife team of comedian Paul F. Tompkins and Janie Haddad-Tompkins. I was so taken with this weekly bit of distraction that I mocked up two different designs for some of the catchphrases from the show.

More Kalligrafonts

Some other Kalligrafonts sticker designs, not all used (yet)...

Art + Autonomy 1980s Flyer

I absolutely loved doing this faux-flyer emulating a 1980s punk show for NYC salon, Art + Autonomy. You can get this image on various pieces of merch in their Threadless store
